The UMK Science Foundation Programme, formerly known as the UMK Science Entrepreneurship Preparatory Programme, was a UMK-MARA academic programme conducted at MARA Kulim College from 2011 to 2019. During this period, the programme had produced nine cohorts with a total of 565 graduates who were fully funded by MARA. Since 2020, this programme has been substituted by the UMK Science Foundation Programme that offered at UMK Jeli Campus, and MARA is no longer a sponsor. The UMK Science Foundation Programme is now well-known throughout the nation to produce students with scientific understanding and entrepreneurial abilities.
UMK Science Foundation Programme is a unique programme capable of producing prospective students who are knowledgeable in the fields of science and have high skills in the fields of entrepreneurship with a different curriculum and teaching approach. Based on a solid combination of science subjects and entrepreneurship subjects, students from this programme will be able to meet the entry requirements of the undergraduate programmes offered at UMK, especially in the fields of earth science, agro-based industry, bioengineering and technology, veterinary medicine, architecture and ekistics, as well as entrepreneurship and business.
